Erika George has been a top lawyer in Oregon for many years. Her significant experience in complex litigation allows the firm to leverage her talents across multiple disciplines, including construction matters, product liability and professional liability defense.Ms. George graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Lutheran in 1994, earning a B.A. in Legal Studies, and served as associate editor of the Oregon Law Review while earning her J.D. at the University of Oregon in 1997.
Ms. George uses a unique combination of legal skills to bring both depth and breadth of accomplishment to her practice. While of counsel to William Kastner & Gibbs (and predecessors) for nearly 10 years, Ms. George developed and managed a large construction litigation practice, maintaining supervisory control of both the process of litigation and of its budgeting. Ms. George represented building owners, engineers, contractors and subcontractors in construction disputes and defect issues.
Ms. George also built a significant product liability practice, defending manufacturers of building products, numerous food processors, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers; and several companies alleged to have made asbestos containing product.
Most recently, Ms. George has worked in the Office of the City Attorney for the City of Portland, representing the City in a busy multi-field practice.
Ms. George is admitted to practice law in Oregon. She served for several years on the Executive Committee of the Construction Law section of the Oregon State Bar. In addition, Ms. George is a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers association, and has served as a firm representative for the Campaign for Equal Justice.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. George is a member of the Board of Directors of the Profile Theatre in Portland, Oregon, and serves as a member of the School Advisory Committee, All Saints School in Portland.
